Arne Blankerts
Arne Blankerts ist als Leiter der Entwicklung bei der Hamburger NonFood-Agenturgruppe tätig und zeichnet dort schwerpunktmäßig für die technische Konzeption und die Entwicklung von internetbasierten Anwendungen unter Einsatz von PHP, XML und Mozilla XUL verantwortlich. Er schreibt zudem seit einigen Jahren regelmäßig für das deutsche PHP Magazin und tritt bei (PHP-)Konferenzen als Sprecher auf.
Marcus Börger
Marcus Börger is a freelancer located in Germany and is specialized on C/C++, Databases, UML, XML and of course PHP. To the PHP community he is also known as helly. He is one of the core developers and focused on the new OO features of PHP 5 and Zend Engine 2. Marcus 'hacks' around on all kinds of stuff for over 15 years now and is currently working for Ford Motor Company.
Tim Bray
Tim Bray managed the Oxford English Dictionary project at the University of Waterloo in 1987-1989, co-founded Open Text Corporation (Nasdaq:OTEX) in 1989, launched one of the first public Web search engines in 1995, co-invented XML 1.0 and co-edited "Namespaces in XML" between 1996 and 1999, founded Antarctica Systems (antarctica.net) in 1999, and served as a Tim Berners-Lee appointee on the W3C Technical Architecture Group in 2002-2004. Currently, he serves as Director of Web Technologies at Sun Microsystems, publishes a popular weblog , and co-chairs the IETF AtomPub Working Group.
Julian Dolby
Julian Dolby is a researcher at IBM's Thomas J. Watson Research Center in New York. He does research into advanced techniques for program analysis, with a focus on analysis to be used to enhance software quality and correctness.
Steph Fox
Steph Fox has been working with and around PHP for the last 7 years. Largely responsible for the infamous 'Zend Weeklies' these days, she also helps out on various of the php.net sites (and zend.com!) in between bouts of technical editing and writing code for the PHP-GTK project.
Dr. Oliver Frick
Oliver Frick is a Product Manager at SAP AG's Product and Technology Unit "Emerging Solutions". He is part of the "Scripting Languages" product team that is bridging the gap between the worlds of PHP (and other scripting languages) and the "classical" SAP products. In this role he is helping the team to capture the requirements from the scripting community as well as the SAP customer base, and to deliver the related SAP solution components back to the community.
Dr. Volker Göbbels
Volker Göbbels trifft man auf vielen internationalen Konferenzen an. Als Eigentümer der Arachnion GmbH und Co. KG arbeitete er für viele Jahre mit PHP, jetzt an anspruchsvoller E-Commerce- und Systemintegration für eine schnell wachsende Zahl nationaler und internationaler Kunden. Er hat mehrere Artikel publiziert, viele PHP-Bücher rezensiert und arbeitet nun an einem Buch mit dem Thema "PHP-Entwicklung mit Eclipse".
Sara Golemon
Sara Golemon is a Senior Engineer at Yahoo! Inc, and a OSS developer in her spare time. Sara is the author of the recently released title "Extending and Embedding PHP" (Sams Publishing, ISBN 067232704X), the libssh2 library (libssh2.org), and has been a developer of the PHP runtime since 2002.
Johann-Peter Hartmann
Johann-Peter Hartmann ist einer der Gründer von ThinkPHP, technischer Leiter der Mayflower GmbH und Geschäftsführer des Web-Security-Startups SektionEins GmbH. Er ist auf vielen Konferenzen als Speaker aktiv und veröffentlicht regelmäßig zu den Themen PHP und Security. Er ist verantwortlich für den Web 2.0 Security Scanner Chorizo und hat zur Sicherheit vieler bekannter PHP-Projekte beigetragen.
Hartmut Holzgraefe
Hartmut Holzgraefe (38), electric engineer and computer scientist with a minor degree in biology, first came into contact in late '99 and just got stuck with it. Over the last years he's been digging his way through PHP source and manual, putting in various translations, bug fixes and additions, including the deceased RTFM extension. Hartmut is working as a senior support engineer for MySQL AB.
Graeme Johnson
Graeme Johnson is a senior software developer at IBM's Ottawa lab, working on virtual machines and IDEs. Graeme has worked on several IBM products including VisualAge for Smalltalk, VisualAge for Java, and the J9 Virtual Machine. More recently Graeme has been focusing on the Apache Harmony project and exploring the PHP runtime.
Masoud Kamali
Masoud zählt als Gründer des Software & Support Verlags und als Chefredakteur des Entwickler Magazin zu den bekanntesten Köpfen in der IT-Branche. Seinem feinen Gespür für Trends ist es zu verdanken, dass mit dem Start von .NET das dot.net magazin als Informationsquelle Nr. 1 für die damals noch junge .NET-Community entstand und in den vergangenen Jahren mit dieser Community gewachsen ist. Als Mitglied des Konferenzbeirats für die BASTA!, die dot.net Konferenz und die Entwickler Konferenz ist Masoud seit vielen Jahren maßgeblich an der Programmausrichtung dieser drei wichtigsten Veranstaltungen rund um .NET auf dem deutschen Markt beteiligt. Neben seiner Tätigkeit auf dem deutschen und europäischen Markt beschäftigt er sich nun seit einiger Zeit damit, auch asiatische IT-Profis mit den nötigen Informationen in Form von Magazinen und Konferenzen zu versorgen.
Uwe Kremer
Uwe Kremer ist Leiter des Applikationsmanagements der Mitsubishi Motors Deutschland GmbH. Er verantwortet den Betrieb und die kontinuierliche Weiterentwicklung der Anwendungen. In einem besonderen Fokus stehen die Portalanwendungen, über die die Kernprozesse mit den Mitsubishi Autohäusern abgewickelt werden. In diesem Bereich werden auch PHP-Anwendungen eingesetzt.
Christopher Kunz
Christopher Kunz ist regelmäßiger Speaker auf der International PHP Conference. Er arbeitet seit über sechs Jahren mit PHP und ist einer der Gründer der Filoo GmbH, einer Firma, die Hosting-, Housing- und Consultingdienstleistungen für internationale Kunden anbietet. Als aktives Mitglied der deutschen PHP-Community engagiert sich Christopher im Hardend-PHP-Team sowie im OWASP. Er hat zahlreiche Artikel zu PHP-bezogenen Themen verfasst und ist Co-Autor eines Buches zu PHP-Sicherheit.
Arjen Lentz
Arjen hatte ursprünglich mit Programmieren angefangen, aber ist seit damals auch zu anderen Dingen umgeschwenkt, die sein Dasein als Geek mit etwas mehr menschlicher Interaktion kaschierten. Er war Angestellter Nummer 25 bei MySQL AB (2001 bis 2007) und hatte hier mit der Dokumentation, Community Relations, Training, Support und der Lizensierung zu tun. Außerdem saß er im Programmkommittee der MySQL Users Conference 2005 und 2006. Nach einer kurzen Pause Mitte 2007 arbeitet er heute als Trainer und Consultant (Open Query) – und hat auch schon wieder damit begonnen, ein wenig in C zu programmieren.
Karl Heinz Marbaise
Karl Heinz Marbaise arbeitet seit etwa 6 Jahren mit PHP/Java in unterschiedlichen Bereichen (High-Performance-Applikationen, CMS, eCommerce, eGovernment), weiterhin im Bereich Software-Konfigurationsmanagement mit Open-Source-Tools (RCS, CVS, Subversion, SVK) und schreibt Artikel für Fachzeitschriften.
Kore Nordmann
Kore Nordmann studiert Informatik an der Universität Dortmund und arbeitet als System Developer für die eZsystems GmBH. Er ist Maintainer seiner Klasse Image_3D im PEAR Projekt und arbeitet an den eZcomponents mit.
Stefan Priebsch
Diplom-Informatiker Stefan Priebsch löst seit über 20 Jahren IT-Probleme. Er ist Gründer und Geschäftsführer der e-novative GmbH, einem IT-Beratungsunternehmen für den Mittelstand, das schwerpunktmäßig im Open-Source- und PHP-Umfeld tätig ist. Stefan Priebsch ist ein international anerkannter PHP-Experte, Buchautor und Sprecher auf Fachkonferenzen. Er hat zahlreiche Artikel in verschiedenen Fachzeitschriften publiziert und schreibt regelmäßig für das PHP Magazin.
Ben Ramsey
Ben Ramsey is a Software Architect at Schematic, where, with over ten years of Web development experience, he is a leader in the Open Source Platforms Group, designing and developing quality software, setting and enforcing best practices, and training and mentoring software developers. Ben is also a leader in the PHP community. He founded and organizes the Atlanta PHP user group, is the founder of the PHP Groups user group network, is a founding principal of the PHP Security Consortium, and is an original member of the PHPCommunity.org project, which lives on today as the #phpc IRC channel. Ben also speaks at industry conferences around the world. Putting his B.A. in English to good use, Ben has written numerous articles for php|architect and International PHP Magazine and has lent his writing talents to several books, including php|architect's Zend PHP 5 Certification Study Guide (php|architect) and PHP 5 Unleashed (Sams).
Derick Rethans
Derick Rethans provides solutions for Internet related problems. He has contributed in a number of ways to the PHP project, including the mcrypt, date and input-filter extensions, bug fixes, additions and leading the QA team. He now works as project leader for the eZ components project for eZ systems A.S. In his spare time he likes to work on Xdebug, watch movies, travel and practise photography. Thorsten Rinne
Thorsten Rinne, Diplom-Informatiker (FH), arbeitet als Projektleiter bei der Mayflower GmbH in München. Seine Schwerpunkte liegen bei Reporting- und Basel-II-konformen Rating-Anwendungen auf Basis von PHP, MySQL und PostgreSQL. Er ist der Hauptentwickler der Open-Source-FAQ-Management-Software phpMyFAQ. Er schreibt außerdem regelmäßig Artikel in der deutschen Ausgabe des PHP Magazins.
Gerd Schaufelberger
Gerd Schaufelberger ist Freelancer und verdienst seine Brötchen mit professioneller Web-Programmierung. Unter anderem betreut er seit 2006 die Web 2.0 Multimedia Community der Nero AG (http://my.nero.com). Darüber hinaus konnte er bereits seit 1998 Erfahrungen im Web 1.0 sammeln und seinen Beitrag in der OpenSource Szene leisten.
Tobias Schlitt
Tobias Schlitt ist ausgebildeter Fachinformatiker, studiert zurzeit Informatik an der Uni Dortmund und arbeitet für eZ Systems am eZ-Components-Projekt. Tobias blickt auf mehr als 6 Jahre aktive PHP-Erfahrung zurück und engagiert sich in der Open Source Community. Neben Softwaredesign, -architektur und -entwicklung betätigt sich Tobias als Trainer und Autor.
Björn Schotte
Björn Schotte setzt als Chefredakteur des PHP Magazins und Head of Chair der International PHP Conferences die Trends im deutschsprachigen PHP-Markt. Als einer von vier geschäftsführenden Gesellschaftern der Mayflower GmbH, die seit Jahren mit ihrer Marke ThinkPHP internationales Rennomée im LAMP-Bereich erlangt, betreut er internationale Großkunden in LAMP-Projekten.
Andreas Schulte
Andreas Schulte ist Dipl. Betriebswirt und seit über zehn Jahren für die IBM Software Group tätig. Nach dem Studium war er Trainer für Standardsoftware. Mit der Verfügbarkeit von Lotus Notes in Deutschland begann seine Tätigkeit als Anwendungsentwickler und Projektleiter für Lotus Notes bei der MB Data (RAG Konzern). 1995 wechselte er zu Lotus Deutschland und bekleidete verschiedene Funktionen innerhalb des Technical Sales und des Software-Vertriebs. Heute ist er als Software Technical Consultant im Partnership Solution Center NordWest der IBM für das Consulting und Enablement von Business-Partnern zu IBM-Softare-Themen zuständig. Ein Tätigkeitsschwerpunkt des letzten Jahres ist PHP auf IBM-Plattformen (Soft- und Hardware).
Dr. Alexander Schwinn
Dr. Alexander Schwinn ist Manager Developers Program bei der eBay Deutschland GmbH in Berlin und in seiner Funktion für das eBay-Entwicklerprogramm (http://entwickler.ebay.de) und das eBay-Marktdatenprogramm (http://marktdaten.ebay.de) verantwortlich. Zuvor arbeitete er als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter an der Universität St. Gallen am Institut für Wirtschaftsinformatik. Schwerpunktmäßig befasste er sich mit den Forschungsthemen Business Engineering, IT-Architekturmanagement, Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) und serviceorientierte Architekturen (SOA).
Dustin Whittle
Dustin Whittle is an Technical Yahoo! with in the Social Search Group at Yahoo! He is responsible for Yahoo’s adoption of symfony and helps with the development of some of Yahoo’s most popular properties: Delicious and Y! Answers. Before joining Yahoo!, he was a self-employed technology consultant, working around the world to make the Web a better place for everyone. Previous to that, he was the lead developer at The Web Freaks, developing and contributing to sites like phpfreaks.com, ajaxfreaks.com, linuxforum.com, apachefreaks.com, and mysqlfreaks.com. He is also an active part of the open source community around PHP and symfony and regularly speaks at industry conferences. As a consultant and trainer, Dustin has taught tutorials and given talks at many conferences and institutions on such topics as enterprise Web development and symfony.
Aaron Wormus
Aaron Wormus is a freelancer based in Frankfurt Germany. With a background in client/server development and intranet infrastructure, Aaron uses PHP to bring cost effective and simple back-end solutions to medium and small sized enterprises. In his spare time, Aaron writes the weekly PHPBarnstormer column, a regular column for PHP Solutions magazine and is contributing to an upcoming book on PHP Application development.
