Relational Database Starter Day
Relational databases are an integral part of the IT landscape. This workshop will introduce the audience to the core concepts of relational databases. No previous knowledge in the field of databases is required. We will discuss the fundamental principles, as well as how to design and talk, via SQL, to relational databases. A number of best practices will be taught that will help in debugging as well as tuneing your database for optimal performance, portability and reliability. Finally through numerous real world examples we will examine common challenges when faced with implementing a relational database into your application. For all intends and purposes this workshop will be vendor agnostic.
