PS1 - State of the Art Development with PHP

PHP is enterprise-ready. But enterprise software development requires more sophisticated tools than just a text editor. This session will highlight various free Open Source software and show how you can create your own integrated development environment. Topics covered include source code versioning with Subversion, unit tests with PHPUnit, and build automation with phing.

PS2 - How PHP Ticks

PHP looks so simple for the outside, but the inside is a powerful and complex engine that makes your Web applications tick. In this session you'll learn about variables and garbage collection, modules and functions, the integration with the Web server, parsing and executing scripts, accelerators and other interesting tidbits.

PS3 - Understanding Interfaces between PHP and Flash Applications

Speaker: Brian Annerl (Telekom Austria)

Combining PHP with Flash can lead to the implementation of quite stunnig rich media sollutions: Load-Once Applications (similiar to the ThinClient concept), Multiplayer Games, Rich Media Adverts, and more. This session will discuss advantages and disadvantages of the various technologies available (i.e. GET-Params, LoadVars, XML-API, Web Services, serialize(), PHPObject, AMFPHP, AMFLite)

PS4 - Securing PHP Applications

Speaker: Ilia Alshanetsky (Advanced Internet Designs Inc.)

A detailed overview of security vulnerabilities that plague PHP applications and various techniques which can be used to avoid and prevent them. The session will cover topics ranging from Input Validation, Session Security, SQL Injection Protection, etc... The security solutions will include a mix of both PHP code as well as configuration changes needed to facilitate safer operation.

PS5 - Win32 GUI Development with PHP and Winbinder

Speaker: Aaron Wormus

Winbinder is the PHP extension and framework for GUI development on Windows platforms. This session describes the winbinder architecture and gives an overview of the PHP 5 based object oriented interface of the winbinder framework. We will also discuss how to use existing tools to build your graphical user interface such as the bundling and deployment of your new PHP based application.
