For a couple of years, the JavaScript world has been pretty stable. The three big technologies, Angular, React and Vue, dominate the environment. But that doesn’t mean the world stands still! Especially recently, some new frameworks with fresh ideas have emerged. Some people are talking about a new wave of frameworks, others even about a new generation.

In this keynote, we investigate what these new technologies are all about, what problems they solve and what the consequences are. Together, this allows a glimpse into the future of web development, but also into the future of the major mainstream web frameworks that will adapt these trends eventually.

This has been made possible by new interfaces that Project Fugu, a joint effort by Microsoft, Google, and Intel has introduced to the Web. In this session, Christian Liebel from Thinktecture shows you how Adobe and Microsoft have brought their applications to the web. As a member of the capabilities chapter team of the 2021 HTTP Almanac, which examined over 7 million pages for the use of modern web interfaces, Christian will show you the surprising use cases developers have already implemented using Project Fugu.

Web3: The Transition to a Decentralized Web

Blockchain is one of the fastest-growing digital concepts in the current technological landscape. Given the advancement in the past years in the Blockchain ecosystem, the businesses and digital industry, in general, are gearing up for mass adoption to bring decentralization to reduce cost in the process, trust, and transparency in general for humanity. Thomas Riedel will look at the origins of the term “metaverse” in an attempt to define it. With this foundation, we are ready to take stock. What technology is already available?
