As someone who has taught Git to over a hundred people in different roles (high school students, data analysts, designers, developers), I’ve come across some things in Git that are commonly misunderstood by the people using it. In this talk I’ll go through the fundamental concepts that everyone should understand, and how a solid grasp of these concepts can enable you to make sense of the most commonly used Git commands. Ultimately, this will provide a starting point for you to further deepen your knowledge of Git and to use it confidently in your work.
